ICPO Foundation and NuMeRI Forge Collaboration to Create New Center for Nuclear Medicine Research

Today, the ICPO Foundation and NuMeRI in Pretoria, South Africa announced their collaboration to establish a global ICPO Collaborating Center focused on Radiomolecular Precision Oncology (RPO). This initiative aims to expand patient access to advanced cancer therapies and promote research in RPO. NuMeRI will contribute by developing best practice standards and hosting the ICPO Academy for Theranostics, enhancing professional training and clinical standards across South Africa.

The ICPO Foundation's mission is to create a network of diagnostic and therapeutic centers specializing in RPO, ensuring cutting-edge cancer treatments are globally accessible. Already established in several countries, ICPO centers operate under a shared knowledge and standardized processes model to implement best practices.

NuMeRI, part of South Africa's national infrastructure roadmap, supports medical imaging and research in nuclear technologies. It partners with academic and healthcare institutions to advance therapies for national health priorities, contributing expertise to ICPO on integrating international standards into South African healthcare.
